OMG! First coin graded in this condition???

I just got a coin from a Heritage auction I won and on the slab it says Series: 32 Coin:1. Does this mean it's the first coin to evr be graded in this condition by PCGS??? Is there a premium for the first coin graded in a given condition?

I believe it means it is the first date of that series.

No, coin #1 just means that this particular date/mintmark/variety is the first one they list in the series. The PCGS Price Guide shows the coin numbers for each type.

No. It means its the first coin in that series of coins. I believe that would be the 1946P Roosevelt, which is the first coin in series 32.

    Looking for PCGS AU58 Washington's, 32-63.

I think that would be a 1946 Roosevelt.

  • The 32 would represent the coin series, in this case the Roosevelt Dimes starting in 1946.
The Coin #1 is the first coin in the series.
You can see it in the price guide easily enough.
