Large & Half cents: what constitutes "RED" grade?

We have standards for DMPL and PL.
In looking at literally hundreds of MS65-66 PCGS & NGC large/half cents graded 'Red', I would say nearly 90% of them are RB and 5% more like BN.
Have so many turned in the slab?
And where are the true red MS65/66s? I have 3 and am hanging on as they are near impossible to find in true red. I am not talking about cinimmon red but copper pipe red with minimal spotting.

Here are my type coins for the large cent and half cent in red:

Thanks for sharing such nice examples.
Thanks! I also have an 1835 1/2 cent in 64red, but no pics. I usually just collect unslabbed circs of these old coppers because I like them. I'm very content with one red example of each. The pics of these are a little more orange than the coins actually are. I bought one of them at auction, and the other from DHRC!
Legend also has a nice 56 in 64red on their site for sale.
Is it possible many have turned in the holder or as someone else mentioned the standards have loosened? I have seen some real doggy RB that were not even close.

Ohbaby, I have seen several that HAD to have turned in the holder due to improper storage. Like 291fifth said, you have to go by what you see in the holder.
