your a liar. certain forum members have proved w/out a doubt that you cannot find nice coins in segs or ntc holders. it's a fact! what're you trying to pull???

Based on the PCGS/NGC slab-bias that is clearly evident (and I have to include myself as having this bias - to be totally honest), if you have a good eye and the time to look, I'm sure you could make a lot of $$$ doing these "experiments". Congrats and good luck with continued hunting.
  • Well I must have some healthy skeptisism, as I have only seen SEGS MS69,MS70,PR69,PR70 slabs.
I have never seen a SEGS graded lower than those before. So that is news to me.
Does anyone have a pic of a SEG's MS62 slab?

Interesting. I didn't know "MS-62" existed in those holders. Anyway, most people I've heard talk about it say that it's really the high grades like MS-66+ when you really find grossly overgraded coins in those holders.

Steve, dorkkarl was being sarcastic, and poking fun at people who think all the nice coins are only in a couple of different services' holders. Not to worry.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

  • Everyone knows you can't cross SEGS coins simply because you can't get the friggin things out of the slabs! image

  • Well I'll be darned.
I just checked ebay and did a US coin search for "Segs ms62" and it turned up six slabs in that grade.
I would have never imagined it was possible.
