I wasn't expecting these until the 20th of October. I had a couple of winners and a few real losers. The 1913 buff was a bad surprise as were the two 38-S Jeffersons. The lower graded coins were sent in to determine toning authenticity. The 64 washington quarter that was BB'd wasn't that big of a surprize.

It sure is
<< <i>Well, that ought to offset the two 38-S AU58s! >>
It does and then some. What did I pay for the coin again? $40?

Nice to see you here again, Jason. I count three winners there. Have you got pics of the nickels?
I'm very glad to hear those turn-around times, I'm gearing up for another economy submission, plus I think I may finally have my four Mint Error freebies picked out.

<< <i>They only gave you PL on that coin? Dang!... BTW 13 21668801 1945-S 5C USA MS67 is a nice score. How are the steps? >>
I don't remember how the steps look on the coin. I sent two of them in of the same date and I can't remember which was which.
<< <i>Actually, $25. >>
I knew it was over $20. Makes me wonder how the other coins would have looked if they were given a quick bath.

Here's the sms nickel:
This could be the other Jefferson but I honestly can't remember. I know that I sent this one in and one other but don't remember which:
<< <i>Well, as you know I wasn't really into finding out at the time, and those were coins I had up for a friend. The real question here is, who was the doofus that AT'ed that PL? >>
At that time I was feeling pretty OK with collecting and was as active as ever. Even though the garbage had just started with that one certain certification company that I won't name, I was doing OK enough to still be having fun with the hobby. These days though I am not a fraction as active with coins as I used to be. I was hitting this board hard with posts and my home away from home, RCC, I was as active as ever. I'll bet that I have made two posts in the last two months there ....... it just doesn't feel the same ;(
Now that I have been dropped from the suit I still don't feel that great about my hobby. Maybe this submission will perk me up.
The 1966 quarter that they called an SMS but it's not an SMS quarter. It came from a capitol plastics cardboard holder:
The 48-D Jeff that only got a 64:
The 55-S Lincoln that they gave a 65 RED:
And the toned 1913 Buff that they body bagged:
