yes, everywhere on ebay. also, my computer keeps asking if I would like to "debug now".... very strange.

    Yes
And I get the "want to debug" popup all the time. Makes me wonder if I have spyware on my machine even though I have anti-spyware software. Very annoying - I may do a system restore to see if that helps.

  • I've been getting the "debug" popup lately also. The code is looking for an image object that it can't find. Very annoying!!

It is just some bad programming at eBay. I would not worry about it. No one is perfect.

  • I've seen it a few times. It tends to come and go. I don't think it has any ill effect on ebay's performance or lack thereof...

  • whew! glad it's not only me - just thought I was having problems with my computer again.
  • I haven't gotten it yet. But I do get allot of Double Click being blocked by spybot. What is Double Click anyway. It only happens when I go on eBay.

I don't think it is bad programming. It seems that they were "DeBugging". It's a common practice when you are an application developer. It's when you print out the values of variables to trace the passing of values and calculations within the application. I agree that they could have tested and debugged on a development server with a mirror of one of the eBay CGI servers so that noone would see these variables. Maybe it was to save time. There might have been a security issue that had to be handled right away. I don't know. Anyways, at the very least we know that updates and constant maintenence are being performed by eBay application developers to help both buyers and sellers have a good eBay experience.

Ok, that's my Pro-eBay rant and explaination in one big breath.
