  • But how were the grades????????
  • I sent in some of the best commons from a real nice 61 Set, and the majority of the stars.

Everything came back about as I expected, but got a great surprise on card number 344.

    Take a look!

And since I am sure my link wont work - Package 561080, Zip Code 14224

That's gotta be a burp in the system. Nice to have it work in the submitter's favor for once!

Brings up a sore spot with me my 35 BUS day order has been there SINCE 07/26. Nobody will ever understand their system. But congrats on the order it is nice to be able to get your cards back so soon. And suprises are always nice!

Heck I had my car interior customized and the car repainted and it took 3 weeks. I called today just to make sure there wasnt an issue. And the first words are we have 35 business days. I hate to bite my tongue on that one and let it go.

I don't understand their system either. I have two bulk submissions - one received the 18th and the other the 25th. Someone must have grabbed the wrong box - who knows. Congrats anyway!!

  • Congrats Brian,

I remember this happening to me last summer with over 200 cards.
It took four business days to finish the order for me too.

I just sent in 220 cards with the same service this week.
I won't expect the same results, but if it happens that will be nice.

I'm going to take Mike Schmidt's (marc) advice on this order
and not look at the grades until the package arrives at my doorstep.

In other words, when I get the "PSA order has been shipped" email,
    I'll just delete it.

When the package arrives, I have no idea what the grades are,
and it will be like opening a pack of cards, not knowing what you are getting.
I've never done this before, and am looking forward to it.
  • I have 163 cards in under the Modern Bulk. Cards were received August 20. Lots of nice 1972 OPC baseball for those interested!! I hope it takes less than 45 days!!
Always buying high grade Mike Schmidt and Steve Carlton cards!!!

    Nice Koufax Brian.

I've had similar uneven experiences lately. I submitted three groups at the National. The two larger submissions were graded out by mid August. The smaller 1950s submission is still waiting.

I have a question , how did you get the 45 dayservice with all those hall or famers?
  • Thanks for the kind words!
(except for the jab on the PSA 6 Maris!!)
    image

When I sent the singles in for 45 day vintage - I listed the most expensive card at only 300.00 or so.
I guess this still qualifies under PSA's guide lines for "vintage commons".

And I have NO IDEA how all of you can wait to look at the grades.
The amount of time from when I got the email from PSA, to the point that I could get onto the PSA site to look at my grades was bad enough.
(the worst 15 seconds of my life!)
I could never do the 7 or 10 days of transit time!

    Thanks guys!
    Brian

I see by your zip code that you live in the Western New York area. I live in Elma. Where are you?

  • West Seneca - probably about 3 miles away from you!
(actually very close to Bases Loaded)

Since I am nice and close to you, does that give me a chance to see your binders before the next Fort Washington show?!?!?
    image WOOHOO!!!!

  • Apparently tickets take them much longer.
I dropped off one ticket at the national and still haven't gotten it back.
  • Brian:

Jeez you are close to me! I didn't know there were other WNYers loitering around here besides me. Do you work at Bases Loaded? Do they ever get any quality vintage material in? They used to way back when but seem to have changed focus.

I'm still working on getting the binders re-done for Ft. Washington so it's a no go until the show. Are you going to the Fort? If so please stop by and say hi. If you ever have anything to sell...........I'm REAL close.

  • Hey Joe!

Yeah, I work with Jeff and Paul.
The good old stuff doesnt walk in much anymore, but the 60s and 61s in this PSA lot did walk in off the street.

    Pleasant surprise for once!!

Have yet to hit the Fort yet, I am hoping to hit the show in December - depending on weather!
If so I will let you know before I go!
