1806 HALF DOLLAR VARIETY EXPERTS HELP PLEASE?

I think this is a O-107 VARIETY. Is this correct? And how about a grade?
Please see attached images. If the variety is correct, the other of the BIG TWO grading companies has it listed as a pop of 1 in VG. It is currently in a VERY old PCGS holder, one that is so old its not even listed in the PCGS POP report. Thank you for your opinions. I am trying to figure out what the best route would be to go with this coin. Greg

Not near my overton catalog, so I can't comment on the attribution.

But it looks an awful lot nicer than vg to me.

    Nice looking coin.

The 3rd berry from the bottom doesn't appear to be the same as the 107?
Sorry I'm walking out the door, gotta go!!

image Don't you mean EF or AU. I'm no expert but, I would suggest that you consult two or three experts on this magnificant piece. Very attractive classic. image

edited : I misunderstood your thread as you were talking about referance to a VG grade and not the coin you have linked.

The coin is 1806 O.107, there does not appear to be a die crack above UNITED so it is not 107a. It does have the two small rim cuds at 5:30 and 7:00, the early state 107 does not have these. This variety has been changed in rarity from R.5 to R.4+, but is difficult to find at XF, with the highest grades being two examples at AU58. The weakness in the drapery lines and opposite stars and clouds are standard for this variety.

Nice coin, if you want to sell, send a PM.
