August 2004 Coin Values has a article on my wild toned 1821 Bust Half

I posted pictures of this coin a few months ago and got a bunch of different opinions on the coin. About 2 months ago a journalist and Bob Campbell wrote a article and included my coin as a example of natural toning along with a nice toned Morgan. Take some time to read the article all the way through, it is fairly good reading. This coin is part of my raw Dansco type set.

I remember a thread a long time ago where I called toning "corrosion" and was repeatedly attacked by all the darkies.

Interesting article, but as always there is no mention of the fact that toning will destroy a coin's luster.

Good article and post. Sure would help the hobby if could somehow include as a supplement on your next toned coin sale on ebay. But probably against their rules as these truths would harm many of their powersellers

yes, Bob sold me the coin. He also asked me a little time later if Coin World could do a story on it and a few other coins.
