Regrades by ANACS

Does anyone have any experience with regrades or rexams by ANACS. I have a 1885 v-nickel that ANACS graded AU details net XF40 for cleaning that I would like to send back for another opinion. The coin doesn't look any different than several other similar graded V-nickels I have that were graded as no problem coins. I think the AU grade is correct, so I hate to crack out the coin because of the risk damaging the coin and also of the possibility of getting a lower grade. Any comments or recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks!

    check carefully for hairlines.

    REAL carefully.

  • Because they indicate problems on their slabs ANACS is very careful about spoting
cleaned and damaged coins. If you are not happy with the grade - give them another try.
I use ANACS for all my Morgan Dollars.
