Craig, I don't know if I ever shared the history with you regarding your PO01...
It was purchased raw and sent to PCI via their "Signature Series" days (back in 1996 or so?). Larry Briggs was the one that handled those PCI assignments. He viewed the coin and determined the date was unreadable.
I wrote him a pretty lengthy letter describing the die characteristics of this Seated dollar and how there was no option other than 1866.
He reviewed my letter and the coin was then holdered, Signature Series, by PCI as a PO01. I liked the Pedigree (Briggs name was on the insert) but wanted it crossed to PCGS for inclusion in my (at the time) Registry.
PCGS crossed it and the rest is history.
Neat coin! It's good to see a photo of it.
