Does this bust half look like it's been cleaned?

I would want to see in person, but from the photo, I'd guess cleaned. See how it is darker near the date. Awful bright photo though.

Ccan't tell for sure because the picture is so bright, but most likely, I'd if not cleaned, then dipped.

sorry about the bright photo, my flash was still "on" from a wedding my wife and I went to Friday night

Bailey, here is one that has sure signs of more than just a cleaning. Whizzed..What a shame.




Notice how shiney the high points are. Still has good color though.

Now that the second photo has been posted I would suspect that it is original except, perhaps, for a gentle soap and water washing.

Wow -- that second picture is quite a difference. Still doesn't look 100% original to me, but at least it looks like a decent coin now. I suspect lightly cleaned and retoned, but still a reasonably nice coin.

From the second picture, I'd say totally original.

From the first, I was going to say original based on the darker coloration near the date giving a 'true' indication of the coin as opposed to rest of the coin which appeared to have been lit with the same radiation that accidentally awakened a sleeping Godzilla and sent him on his path of mayhem.

The second photo is a little fuzzy, but it looks pretty original to me- if it was cleaned, it must have been long ago, as it has toned nicely....

Actually, when I took the pic with the flashed, I was surprised at how bad the coin looked. maybe some of the "bad" coins on eBay are just overexposed?

anyway was going to post this as my newest stman-style crusty half, I'm pretty sure this one is unmolested
