IKE Guys---1972-P Type 2

It has been a while since I bought any of these raw.

What is the going rate for raw coins grading MS62/3? Should $35.00 cover it or is that too cheap? I have seen raw coins sell for as high as $180.00 on eBay, but then that was a real nice coin from the pictures.

What about for an AU coin?

Please let me know.

Thanks. Richard.

Somebody offered me a AU55 for around $50.00 recently and it was already certified. So raw should be lower in my mind.

    I think a nice AU will bring $60-80 and a MS62/63 about $125.

I also think that these prices are cheap!

There were probably only about 100,000 of these coins minted.

I believe that only a few thousand are good enough to slab and collect, if that many.
The vast majority of the leftovers were worn out or destroyed in the slot machines
    at the casinos.
Then considering that these were really circulation grade strikes at the mint, the nice high grade coins are very few and far between.

    Raw Coins In MS 63 Sell For $ 75.00 To $ 90.00.

I remember seeing some PCGS AU55 or 58's going for around $60.00 to $75.00 on Ebay once.
The MS63's I remember went for something like $175.00 to $250.00 or so.
Money wise a MS64 sort of goes off the scale. and a MS65 is way out there in the stratosphere.

Whadda ya'll think about these, buy, sell, or hold? Do you think that they will continue to rise in price in all grades? Or, crash with everything else at some point? I've been searching high and low and haven't found one in nearly a yearimage

I think they'll continue to rise. They are in Red Book now. As more
new collectors find out about them, demand will increase and prices
will continue to rise.....more so in the higher grades because there
just aren't that many out there.image

I agree that the price will rise. They have only recently been added to the Red Book and there true rarity is not widely known. Although I had sold a few I now hold onto all that I find.

I Buy Almost Everyone That I Can. I Would Recommend That You Hold, However, If Anyone Wants To Sell Please Post A Message.
Most Were Used Up In The Gambling Industry. a Few Years From Now, The Majority That Are Certified Will Be Circulated Examples.
