1884 is a scarce date. This is Breen 6727 where the 84 touch. There have been graded by ngc 250 1884 in all grades (44 below AU58, 78 in AU58 with 128 higher). Compare with 1881 with 7355 and 1882 with 3567 and you see that the 84 is many times rarer than the common dates. $260
