Some circulated half $'s from my type set

Question, I chose these coins for what I believe to be original color of natural toning and wear. Any input on this is welcomed. Grade them if you can from the image.

The image quality of the original file from my Nikon 4300 is excellent. I have the camera set on the smallest file setting but, when transferred to my computer, it is still too large of a file to fit under the 50k limit. Then I crop the image and fit window to image to keep it as large as I can. When I save this, the file size gets larger. Then when I copy and resize for jpeg, I loose the quality of the image, hence, what you see here.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to keep image quality within the 50k ?

  • Nice halves, I love the look of problem free circulated Stone Mountains.

I like them a lot. The Seated Liberty is a tad too dark for me, but still attractive.

Edited to add: A neat idea for a collecting goal might be to put together a Silver Coin Type set with circulated coins in that battleship grey VF range. That would be a nice looking set of coins...especially if you could swing the early dollars.

Very nice!!! The easiest way I have found to post pictures is to use Photobucket.com. They are a free hosting site, and really easy to use. You can just copy and paste the url right into the thread, no need to upload to CU.
