Good day. Sorry if I have offended anyone by either mispelling peakock(intentionally mispelled as well in the title on ebay) or by describing a coin's color using that paticular bird as a reference. My name is Greg Gettleson and I have a registry set named: Gregory Getts Eisenhower group. Acmesalesinc is a seller name that I use on ebay. I enjoy the IKE series of coins, and hope to continue trading them. I can be reached by e-mail greg@acmesalesinc.com. I have also attached a picture of a coin to be graded by the forum members, and the person who grades it correctly first will receive a very nice hand picked roll of IKES from ACMESALESINC! OH just so you know, the reverse of this coin is perfect. By the way grandam and gandyjai are not allowed to compete, they already know the grade. Thanx Greg.
Difficult to tell from the photo, but with the hits on the forehead I'd say MS64. I don't want anything if I'm correct, just to take the wording or inference to PKOK out of any e-bay mention.
I, along with many others on this board have too big a vested interest in REAL PKOK's to let anyone get burned by thinking they are getting the real thing when they are not.
It will eventually degrade and devalue the real thing.
Sorry for the vigilence, but I think it's necessary

MS67 only because someone stated MS66 and it looks better than an MS65.
James, You Are Right It Is Not A PKOK. I Am The Current High Bidder. If It Was Legit, My Bid Would Be Much Higher !!! I Have Purchased Many Business Strike- Color Ikes, And This Does Not Qualify !!!
Okay, once again I'm sorry about the PKOK reference in the E-bay auction. It will not happen again. After some thought, and seeing how important these coins are to the people that have them, maybe someone should contact PCGS and have them designated as PKOK HOARD or something to that effect. The contest winner is coinshunter, please contact me with your mailing info and I will send you the coins. The image of the coin with the holder is attached below. Thanks to all, Greg.

I really doubt it. How can PCGS identify an Ike dollar came from PKOK hoard? I bet PCGS graders won't be able to identify any. Unless you saw the original (about 100) piece, you simply can't sure they are PKOK except a few famous ones.
acmesalesinc, thanks for the roll of Ikes, they will be donated to one of the young numismatic auctions, at a local show in my area. Thanks Again Allan
I have seeing the term "Peacok" (Intentionally misspelled) used more and more to describe a beautifully toned coin....and not just Ikes either. I think the term has been "adopted" by people who really don't know about the "Original PKOK Ike Hoard". Actually, probably most Ike collectors aren't aware of the History of PKOKs.....Do you have a page or two dedicated to them in your upcoming book? There was a section about them in Wexler's book, but it seems not a lot of new Ike collectors have read it. Obviously, this is one case and point.
James, I totally understand your stance.....I just don't think you will ever be able to stop people from using the term "Peacok" to describe a beautifully toned coin in their auctions and to try to do so, might be like banging your head against the wall (JMHO).
Heck, one guy even calls his company Peacok Coins!....That doesn't mean he sells only PKOKs......although, he has had a few BEAUTIES lately Just the fact that his company is called Peacok coins AND he sells LOTS of beautifully toned coins is enough to lead people to describe a beautifully toned coin as a "Peacok".
Hey Braddick, how do you get the to spell out your company name? The Forum won't let me spell the word correctly! I guess that's one way to keep people from using the term!

The silvers do as well. They all look very cool!
It's the MS Clads that seem to have the greatest variation. Some are fantastic, others very blah.
