MS65+ PCGS Ikes

Has anyone noticed a drop in the price of PCGS Ike dollars
graded MS65 and up and also PR69DCam Ikes?

Comparing the prices I paid and sold at some months ago
to the current prices realized on Ebay, there seems to be
an overall reduction in prices.

Is this just a fluke? Does anyone else see a softening here?

  • TG.... I think the prices on proofs are still going down.

I may have accidently done the right thing in selling off
all my PR69Dcam proofs some months ago because I
recently bought 3 at half the price I sold for.

It is bewildering to me because in general the coin
market is on an upswing but Ikes seem to be dropping.

I don't think there are many more Ikes to be made. I think
I will put together some more Ike sets.

If you guys think prices are going down, please, please sell me your MS65 + Ikes.

I'll make a market in these and will continue to support the market.

Forget about the proofs, but the MS coins, I'll support.

Lower end Ikes are definitely weak now. There are reports of these actually being
available at the fed while a couple years ago they were selling for $1.30! MS-60's
haven't been in demand for at least a couple years and even then most buyers of-
fered only about half of the chBU roll price. MS-61 to MS-63 (typical ch BU roll material)
is also pretty soft. You can usually get bid for it but will have to shop around. Graded
and raw MS-64's are fairly popular and I've not noticed any softening. Graded MS-65+
has a pretty strong market and it would be surprising if there were any weakness in
it now, but it's not impossible.

Typical proof Ikes are still being sought at solid prices but this market has slowed a
little in recent months. High grade proof Ikes took a hit but seem to be starting a re-
    covery.

Not a big trader but I'm still shopping for about four different PCGS MS65 dates.
