Liberty Seated Dime Varieties 1837-1891 Web-Book fully debugged and open for business

I know there has been two previous posting on this subject. Steve Elwood helped with an early annoucement after the ANA. Please humour me for one last time. image

I would like to formally announce that the Liberty Seated Dime Varieties web-book is now completely debugged and available. The paypal subscription page will auto generate passwords for new members.

The website is www.seateddimevarieties.com

The site has been previewed by leading numismatists and given the thumbs up. Pinnacle has already started using the site for attributing their new inventory. Liz at JJ Teaprty is on board. Heritage has subscribed.

Please check out the foreword by Chris Pilliod, take a look at the 1874 WA arrows preview section and the 13 different varieties. How many collectors have seen an 1874 dime with the arrows nearly polished away? A three year membership gets you a CDROM of the website along with access to the website from any location in the world. (That's important for guys like me who travel to China all the time!)

Until I retire, there will be no hardbound book, sorry to disappoint some of you on that point. But the CDROM is an excellent alternative.

    Gerry-

You didn't mention that *I* subscribed as well. Perhaps you were afraid of scaring off everyone else image

This reminds me, QDB's standard line whenever he signs a book is, "are you sure this won't make the value go down?"

Seriously folks, this site is awesome. I can't say enough about it. It represents 20 years of research by someone who really knows his stuff. Paraphrasing what Walter Breen said about the Browning book on bust quarters - "this is the best numismatic web site ever on the first try".

The CDROM will be all html code as is the web-book. He will write a short .INI file to auto start the content and take you to the home page (as if you are on the net). My website guy used a MAC for his development work. If the CDROM does not work on a MAC, I will refund the $130 membership. I'm that confident......

    Barry,

Received your payment. I'm honored to have you be a founding member of the web-book. I'm sure that you will enjoy and be an important contributor in the future. CDROMs will ship out late next week as I'm off to China on Sept 7.
