Freebie Submission Results

Got my Freebies back in exactly 21 days. I guess the blackout dates didn't matter.

1 21684093 1909-S 1C Lincoln USA VF20BN - Right on. Was hoping for 25, but was happy with 20.
2 21684094 1943 1C USA Altered Surfaces - The coin was technically perfect, but the blue tinge worried me. I guess it was messed with.
3 21684095 1955-D 10C USA MS65FB - Right on. Scored an FB on my first shot.
4 21684096 1955 50C USA PR66 - Was hoping for a 67, but am happy with a 66.

Date Received: 08/06/2004
Date Shipped: No Date Specified

This helps me a lot, because I was worried that my grading technique might have been way off, but after seeing these two (especially lines 3 & 4) I know I'm playing in the ballpark.

Time to start submitting some REAL coins.

Are these coins you picked up on one of your trips to the bank?

  • Funny, Russ.

Yeah, I got the FB in pocket change the other day. And the PR 50c was in a penny tray. I found the 09-S on the sidewalk. Pretty good finds.

a 1909 s,... in VF.... on the sidewalk?

Anyone else imagine the turn of events and Providence landing this into CD's lap? I see an 11 year old YN crying his eyes out at home with that new hole in the Whitman staring at him--a birthday present from his grandpa, too? That 'll teach that YN to be more careful next time.

Me thinks In Yawaeh We Trust has been conditioned with too much dogma.
