I love mine. It was purchased about a month and a half ago. My goal was a camera that was easy for my wife to use by just picking it up, aiming it, and clicking the button; but has a great lense and macro capability.

I have a Kodak 6340 that is easy to use, but I have been considering upgrading to another Kodak camera because the closest the macro will work on the 6340 is about 9-10 inches away from the coin. Does anyone have an example picture taken with a 6490 and how close can you put the lens to the coin and still get a good shot?

I'd love to see a sample coin pic myself with this camera.

I have some beautiful images from 3-4" of some toned quarters, but the file sizes are too large to upload. Here's a link to an image I posted on the NGC site...1946-S Quarter Reverse

    That's what I use.
    Price was right....nice pictures....good zoom....macro works good.
Just a nice, easy to use camera.
Don't use it for any action pictures, refresh rate is S-L-O-W.

I have the dock now.....might break down & get the printer also.

JNADAD, does the HP R707 have macro capabilities?
