    Congrats, but are those white spots, on the neck below the ear and in front of the nose and chin, actually on the coin?

    Yeah, a proof-70 shouldn't have spots! If they're on the coin, make 'em give you a new one!

  • Yes, those are spots on the coin and there's one on the reverse, too. It doesn't bother me, though. Only a 69DC is worth more points, and the underbidder has already told me he would buy it when I was ready to sell. There are no 70CAMs or DCAMs yet, so I think it's still a solid investment.

    So you're just interested in registry position?
  • The spots might have appeared after. I don't think PCGS would give out their highest grade if they were there to begin with.
