What is your lowest PSA Cert #?

01008084 -- 1968T W. McCovey. PSA-8...the old style font with the crosses through the zeros. This is the only card that I have with this font.

In checking your lowest cert #, it should not be dependant on the second digit. The first should be zero (obviously), but the 01s were not before the 02s which were not necessarily before the 03s, etc. The numbers after the 0x are what is important (at least that is what I have observed). If I am wrong, then please ignore my comments, and send someone out to kick me.

You are one of my favorite posters so I hope if anybody chooses to kick you they won't do it too hard.

The lowest cert number is very much dependant on the second number (and the third and the fourth, etc). It does not, as you point out, make it older but it does make it lower. If the question had been, "What is your oldest PSA cert#?" then you have a very valid point.

If I have missed something then I apologize and you can send someone to punch me twice and kick me too.

Understood on the 2nd digit...there seems to be no rhyme or reason to these. And, I agree that it is what follows the first 2 that determines the "age". This one is still my "oldest" grade.

I had a 1982 Donruss Cal Ripken Jr PSA 10 cert number 06022728 (old style font), but I just sold it because I didn't like the centering on it. I'll pick up another one for my set when I find one with better centering. I have seen 9's of that card with better centering.

I really do believe that PSA is harder on centering (in most cases) today, than they were in the early days.
