Hard to tell with the scan, but it's a least a high AU if not mint state. Nice start!

    Pretty coin.

How to get pics to show in a post?

Click the little "image" icon on the toolbar ( image ) when you are in message post mode, and paste your URL into the box that appears.

Don't know how to find the URL (web address) of your image? Open your attachment until you see the picture, then right-click on it, scroll down to "properties", and click on that. That'll give you the URL to use in the step above.

(Edited to fix some garbled instructions.)

  • Nice looking lady hard to tell from pics blurry. You might want to use obverse and reverse instead oof front and back, some here worry about calling a cent a penny.image

  • Cool, I will work on that when posting. Darn cats are making it impossible to get good pics....will try again tonight with the 2nd one that I added to my collection of all things round, shiny and have pictures on them...... image)

  • My advice, be careful with Morgans. The mass market dealers sell blast white ones by the boat load and they're typically overdipped AU's and even XF's. Find a dealer you trust and buy a few nicely circulated ones first to get a "feel" for the look of circulated versus MS grades.

    My two cents worth...

  • You're in trouble now:

Morgans are like Lays potato chips, you can't just have one !!!
  • Here they are. I would like to see what everyone thinks about her now.
I got the first one for a gift about 3yrs ago.
she has a nice light tone and some good luster.

Here is the one I picked up a little while ago: Has a nice gold tone to the reverse....looks better than a 64 though.....got this one from Carl.

  • I can't remember if this was my first, but I know it was one of my first. It scans duller than it looks.

Heh heh, the glass on my scanner was dirty. I noticed the fingerprints after I posted the pics. I wear gloves when I handle raw coins. image

  • You guys got me started...I keep hearing Morgan, Morgan, Morgan so I Googled Morgan. Pretty interesting story! If that guy had 400,000 stashed in his basement, are they really that rare? I especially liked the remark in the article "and a rather underfed eagle on the back". Now I need to see if I have any!
