Provenance and Conder Tokens ( To Slab or not to Slab ? )

I have a Hertfrodshire Stortford D&H 4 Conder Token on it's way to me that comes with a letter of provenance stating it came from Mathew Boulton's Personal Collection. ( Provenance Letter only, no hand written notes it was wrapped in or silver lined brass shells )

Would you have something like this slabbed with the "Mathew Boulton" pedigree on the holder?

Nope. If I were you, I'd shoot some fine pics in the raw, and keep it wrapped in the original tissues inside the silver-lined brass shell.

Does the provenance trace to an auction or a private treaty sale?

I would! Ask Dave if PCGS would do that for ya.

This piece does not come with these.

I'd slab it, with provenance information on the label if the TPG co. would do that. I hear PCGS will include some limited information like that on the label.

But does PCGS slab Conders? I asked that question on the Q&A and never got an answer.

Dave told me to call customer service. NGC already told me yes and they would put the MAthew BOulton pedigree on the tomb.

Looks too big to be a conder token. Probably a medal.

I'd slab it with the provenance. I would go with ANACS, if PCGS won't do it, but only because I can't stand NGC holders.
