Will this 79 Jeff go FS?

There look to be a couple of ticks on these steps , but no real bridging. Does this look like it can go FS? If so - 5FS?

Absolutely full steps. I made a '79 in 64FS at PCGS a few months ago and your steps are nicer than the ones on my coin. I don't think it is a six-step coin, though, more like 5.75 because of the slight miss under the third pillar. Still, it only takes five full to get the designation at PCGS.

    Nice coin!

the tick is not deep enough to prevent the full step designation. Send it in!

5 of the steps are crystal clear. Since the ding isn't very deep, you've got a full stepper.

  • FS, yes. 6FS, no.

    MS63, 64 at best. IMO

Found a couple of pics of mine - scanned in the holder and a poor reverse photo when it was raw. Again, yours looks better than mine did. Should be a lock 64FS, maybe even 65FS on a good day.

That's nearly as nice as they get. You can get more steps but not a much nicer coin.

    It's FS at PCGS.

  • I hate to be the dissenter, but I do not think this coin is a guarantee full step. There are at least two points on the 5th step that could prevent a FS designation.
