Questions About 1849 Gold Dollar Types

Is the following a complete list of all the different types of 1849 gold dollars?

1. Open Wreath - Small Head - No L
2. Open Wreath - Small Head - L
3. Open Wreath - Large Head - L
4. Closed Wreath

One other question...a thread was posted a while back that showed the difference between the large head and small head and I'm able to easily distinguish between the two based on where the tip of the crown comes to in relationship to the stars; however, I can't seem to find the L. I've got an 1849 open wreath and have looked, but can't seem to find it. Am I just blind? Does anyone have a picture that clearly identifies it?

One last question...did the closed wreath examples of 1849 and all of the rest of the Type I gold dollars in subsequent years have this L (that I can't seem to locate)?

Although they are extremely small (which seems to be one reason they aren't more popular with collectors), I find these pretty interesting...now if I could just find that darned L!

Any comments/info. on the above or on type I gold dollars in general would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The L is on the truncation of the bust belowthe leftmost hair curl. And yes I believe the L remained on the dollar for all subsequent issues.
