    Rex,

I got to view Baxi's set at the ANA. It is awesome. And he has some great NGC coins as well. He will probably be No. 1 before long.

Quite a few knowledgeable dealers and collectors have been touting this series for some time. Sil DiGenova of Superior wrote an article for the Coin Dealer newspaper several months ago. Larry Shepherd has been advocating 3 cent and 5 cent nickels for a couple of years. But it wasn't until a Superior Long Beach sale 2 years ago that a lot of coins came out of hiding.

The prices on the rarities are still way too low, compared to Buffalo's and other small denominations. More serious collectors are joining the search

TahoeDale is being way too modestimage. He is clearly one of the two or three premier collectors of Liberty 5c in the world. I have been pleased to be able to buy some of his dups for my collection. This really is a great series, and incredibly underpriced. I have been collecting this series for four years, and I can assure everyone that these pieces are much rarer and harder to find than the prices would indicate (same for mint state 3c nickels). I'm sure it will take me years to build my collection to the calibre of his or Baxi's. I hope I can stay in the top five while I am trying!!

  • Tahoe Dale----I think you are being too modest.Your set is actually rated higher than anyone's except the number 1-Howe.Do you know either of these guys? Met Baxi at FUN I forget his real name,it's Phil or something like that, seemed to be a real good guy
