In the auction description he states...

<< <i>I will consider your NGC or PCGS 1916-D dime in trade for this beauty >>

    I have a G-06 I'll trade him even-up!!

Very cool coin he has there!

Looks dipped and retoned to me:

  • Dipped and retoned in a PCGS holder?? I think the graders would know better than to let that slip by.image

PCGS will slab any dipped coin as long as it retains it's luster.

I think the price it pretty high for a NB coin. Has the market moved this far that the discount for 16-D is 15K? It will be a while for me then, probably Au coin someday when I save my pennies.

price seems awful strong to me, for a coin that's of average quality for the grade (from the digi-pics anyway). i'd pass. in fact, i will pass since i can't afford that!

  • The asking price is too strong. I guess if someone has that kind of money burning a hole in their pocket, though, they'll buy anything.

  • I am going to hit the BIN so when I get the coin I'll let you know how it looks....................

Sorry my wife wouldn't let me sell the kids so I am going to have to pass on this one image

JJ Teaparty has a similar coin (in terms of grade and price, 63 for 16K) so perhaps this is where the high retail market is for this coin. I dont have pockets that deep.

You think a 16-D is special eh? Take a look at the rest of the coins he has for sale now.
