  • Nothing major, I just got one of those 1962 unopened proof sets for about $12.00. I will open it and check it out. If nothing special in there it makes a great gift. I laught when I see the exact same thing go for $20.00 more on Sat night.

  • I managed to snag a nice PF70 dime from a registry collector. He was the one who originally tried to snipe me at 30 seconds before the auction closed but I managed to outbid him at 6 seconds before closing by only 3 cents!!! I tried emailing him to let him know there were no hard feelings and hopefully make a coin collecting friend, but he was probably running a bot and wasn't there to get the email right away. The lesson here is, always babysit the important auctions right up to the very end, or you'll be a loser when you wake up in the morning.

Check out the flurry of activity in the last 30 seconds or so. I was entering all these bids MANUALLY!!! image

I got an email back from the would be sniper, and he seems like a decent guy. He's just trying to replace his cams and dcams with higher grade pieces without those designations. He asked me to keep him in mind when I decide to sell, which I have no problem doing. Don't worry, Brian, I have your back on this one. You'll be first to know when I decide to sell or see another one up for sale. image

Does it count as a snipe if no one else seems to want it?? I found a couple of cameo franklins in the old pci holders. I picked up a toned 57 and this 56
