I got to see that 71 half, and the obverse looks just like the pic. It is white. Cool coin.

  • If the reverse keeps that JFK at Cameo and you want to sell please do write me. That obverse sure is frosty! I really like the Quarter too!

Wow, nice score. That 71 is just dripping with frost. I've never seen a 71 with that much frost. Add me to the list if you want to sell it!

Ken: Both coins are gorgeous, but I'll have to say that the 1960 Silver Washington Quarter is really special since I know that the early 1960's proof silver coins are typically no that cameo frosty looking. Tht's got to be a lock cameo and a shot at DCAM.

Very nice and astute purchases!! image

I just got back from viewing these (2) coins. All I can say is they are DCAM.As to grade I can't say because I'm no expert on either series. However they looked real good to me.If I had to take a guess I'd say at the very least PR68 minimum.

That 71 half looks like the kennedys that are made today in the modern proof sets- very nice! I would be curious what grade it would be given by the top two. My guess would be that the reverse would keep it in a cam holder??

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
