A highlight of my trip to the ANA was viewing this set:
Half Cent Circ Strikes
Half Cent Proofs
Amazing quality. The 1793 and 1794 were simply breathtaking. Congratulations to the owner!

I just read that you won the Grading challenge in the collectors division. I don't know if there has been or will be some individual thread about it, but I wanted to say congratulations.
That is really impressive. And to echo a comment I made when you made the finals, I am not surprized. If your grading is as good as some of your commentary on this forum (which obviously it is) then you know you could always fall back on being a grader at PCGS should you need to do some moonlighting.
Way to go!

This collection has been a passion of Jim's for the past 25+ years.
This man KNOWS Half Cents!!!!
It more than likely wouldn't even be in the registry without the persistance of one registry member and encouragement of a few others (non-members).
A few of my favorites:
1793 in MS-66
1796 without Pole in MS-62 (that's right, no pole)
1797 in MS-67
One of the proofs in the 30's was stunning, cameo (but no cameo designation)
Congrats Jim!!!!
Congrats to Jim! For those who don't know him, he's a VERY nice guy. He is, by far, one of my very fav persons that I've met through coins.

My favorite coin was the overstruck gem ORIGINAL 1795
My favorite coin in ms 65 was his 1793
I also liked his 1796 with no pole
Elwood - It was his 1795 lettered edge that was a 67.Anyway Jim and I have both seen a better one.

I believe that is Jim's favorite too, and the coin he has had the longest?
(and thanks for the clarification on the 95 LE, so many of them are nice, I forgot exactly which date graded 67)
