I'd love to find something nice and colonial, that would also qualify as Dark. Matter o' fact, they just bulldozed a lot here on Saint Simons Island that was the site of Delegal's Fort (British, 1736), and I know a high-grade 1737 halfpenny was found near there. But permission on this new-cleared lot might be tough to get. So I am forced to post some friends' finds, and one of my own, all Liteside.

The cent looks MUCH better than this scan, and was found in the same general area where Billy found this a little while back:

I found this on August 17th, not terribly far from Billy's site:

And Steve Smith (aka "Millennium" on the forums) found this on August 19th, about forty feet away from my Indian cent:
