OPINIONS! 1913D TYPE I MS63 Buffalo Nickel

1913D TYPE I

Just spotted this at jjteaparty. Is $62 too steep? It's a perfect match to my 1916 AU58 right down to the orange toning streaks.

I think if I ran across a coin that was a "perfect" match in a set, I would go for it! I would hate regretting it later on if I passed.
  • $62 does seem a bit pricey for an AU58. I think if it were more in the $30-$40 range it would be more of a sure bet. Fortunately the 1913D is readily available in almost any grade you want. If you are patient enough, the right example will show up at a reasonable price.

It looks more like AU58 to me., but still a nice and quality example of this first year type.
I would say more like a $35 coin to me.

You probably can wait around for a nicer piece. The luster seems a bit dull on this one...although I don't think it's actually AU...it's hard to say given the picture.
