40 Dooley's 206s .........................................................3.25 0.38% 0.02
41 Bighurt's T-206's .....................................................8.00 0.19% 0.01
41 Steve Plichta's 1909 T206 Set ................................1.67 0.57% 0.01
41 Jewish Major Leaguers ...........................................8.00 0.19% 0.01
41 T206 .......................................................................5.00 0.19% 0.01
41 Jon's T206 Set ........................................................3.67 0.57% 0.01
46 Cargile Collectibles - T206 ......................................1.00 0.38% 0.00
46 Professor Merkin's Contrabulous Flabtraption........ 4.00 0.19% 0.00
46 Crotts Family T206 Set . . . . . . .......................... 2.00 0.38% 0.00

Above are the stats on the T206 set. my set is highlighted.. now the question i have is this.. I have 2 cards currently in the set.. with 5 more out for grading right now. I expect the 5 to get graded as PSA 1's.
So my set will have 6 PSA 1's and 1 PSA 3.

Where will my set rank after i include the 5 cards that are out for grading (all PSA1's). 7 cards is 1.3% of the set.

  • Your set currently has a rating of 0.0 because your 4 points (1 x PSA 1 + 1 PSA 3) is less than 1% of the set weighting of 865.50.

When you add the 5 PSA 1's (assuming that the weighting for each card is one), you will add 5 points to your current 4 points for a total of 9 points.

9 points divided by the set weighting of 865.50 equals 0.0104. The registry only recognizes two decimal places. I am not sure if they round up or not but in this instance it would not matter.

When you register the cards, you will have a set rating of 0.01 and you will be tied for 41st place.

    Good luck with your set.

They lost your cards and have adjusted your rating accordingly.

  • Brian,
Are all of your cards indeed weighted as 1's per the set composition listing ?
If there is a star, even a minor star, you may do even better.

Is any of this going to be on the test ?

If you're serious about tracking your set rating, you should set up an EXCEL type spreadsheet.
Then you can plug in different grades for the different cards and see how your set rating changes.
