I know I've posted this before, but posting it just now in a thread made me decide it deserves a thread of it's own... I like it!

P.S.: It's younger brother is still waiting for the tearful reunion:

<< <i>With such wonderful pictures to remember it by, I'm sure you'll be racing to take me up on my generous offer to relieve you of the burden of owning that coin. >>
Don't you remember the PM I shot you last year when I first got the coin? The one where I was bragging ?
If it's brother is so sad, I'm open for donations

Unfortunately your cent is not a Mint error. It was once pressed into an encasement of some sort, most likely a "Lucky Penny" type aluminum or plastic holder. The raised ring just inside the rim marks the joint ofthe holder to the coin.
This is a very common form of damage on cents from that era. Most of the ones I have seen have been misattributed as minor broadstrikes or "railroad rim" partial collar strikes.

Of course I remember. I just figured you were tired of looking at the tiny little coin and would prefer instead to gaze at the nice big pictures.

It's not that sad. It just needs a quick liquid Zoloft dip and then back to the Gardmaster.

Why do one when I can do both? As they say for twix, "Two for me, none for you"
