Hi everyone,I'm reporting it here first!!!
Found this in my Botanic Garden C&C set. This is a 1997 dated Matte Finish nickle. It has a small strike thru error on the first U in PLURIBUS.It appears to be a small strike through a bit of wire.As far as I know this could be the first and only matte-nickle error reported.LinkIt is still in its original package.I have debated who to send it to PCGS or NCG.Appreciate any opinion and advice.I used an Intel Play microscope to get the picture. Not bad for a $39 toy.
It is a bit grainy but you can see it clearly. rich

How long did it take for them to get it back to you?I hear that there is a backlog.

I'd leave it in it's original package because even though it's rare there's no collector demand for that kind of error on that kind of coin so you'd just be wasting your $$ plus you'd be destroying 1 more original set that had a low issue anyway.
