    the seller turned it in for one day grading service with PCGS at ANA today. Should know the details tomorrow. image I think the color in the pic is a bit off though.

    Dumb question from somebody who knows little about SA coinage - why is the 1934 proof farthing worth six or seven times the 1934 proof halfpenny and penny? The mintages are the same, only 24 pieces.

    I guess it's because there were only 26-52 unc farthings minted that year. Makes it a difficult piece in either version.

    Hopefully I can post the grade this evening. image

    It will be nice to see it in hand. Getting a BN on it comfirms that the pic is a bit overlighted, but those surfaces must have awesome luster.
