Here is the deal. I will donate the coin and the High Bidder gets it . The High Bidder will Pay Pal or send a check to the relief fund that has been started for the victims of the hurricane in Florida by one of our members. As soon as it has been confirmed that the money has been sent the winner can give me their address and I will send the coin. In no case will the money be sent to myself.

This will end at 9PM West Coast Time Friday evening. Have Fun with this folks.

As soon as I can look up the other thread on this subject I will edit this message and tell you where the money will be sent. Heck maybe Pam will jump in here and help me out a little.

Right at the moment, Friday at 7PM PDT the coin is bid at $150.00 by Numismanic (Don). Bid it up a bit. Its a $175 to $225 coin. $150 would be great to send to the Hurricane victims. The Goal has been reached. Kwel....

This is a great thing we are doing for these folks "from a distance" - and I know we would all do more - if we were there/on location - but since we aren't then we can only do the best that we can - and I would love to help more, if only I could! I feel so bad for these folks - I know that some of the folks on this forum are probably sick of me TTT'ing this stuff, but I don't care.

Here is what Tom posted yesterday, I think it was - so this will be the best place to mail payment - I am also going to post this on the forum should anyone else wish to send a donation or batteries, etc.

I just cannot imagine what it would be like to go through something like this Hurricane. Heck I think those folks should move to the Beautiful NorthWest. That kind of stuff does not happen here. I know. People say it rains a ton here. Not in all locations though. It was 96 here today....

You guys are great and Ken, thank you for the auction. I will go with my wife on the way back down this morning and stop at publix to buy a bunch of extras to bring down. We got stuck yesterday in Port Charlotte having driven over a "large" screw. We were able to find a tire kingdom on murdoch just in the nick of time to get it fixed. We would have definitely gotten stuck on I-75 with a flat. Spent 2 hours at the tire place then at 4PM left for Tampa ( 94 miles) and got back to the hotel at 8PM.

What a gruelling day. It's now saturday morning and down we go again.

The help that's come down here is really appreciated. The old people on our block who we have been seeing every day with ice, food, and in the last couple of days, batery powered lamps really light up when they see us. Top date I've spent a couple thousand dollars.

P.S. The latest update is that FPL says they believe the power will be restored on the 29th. This would be an amazing feat. We are all of course hoping this happens. An insurance adjuster finally did reach us at the hotel early this morning and will meet us at the house sometime tomorrow afternoon. I just hope we don't get another screw in the tires. Tire kingdom had a LOT of people in the same situation. By the way, Tire Kindom carged ZERO for the repairs.
