Silver commemorative type set scores

Good Evening David,

I have a question/suggestion/comment on the scoring for the classic silver commemorative typeset registry.

Instead of the set score for each commem, what do you think about using the scores from the 144 silver commem set for the type set. That way, those who have the rarer issues within a commem type (like a Grant with Star or a low mintage Boone) would be rewarded for going the extra mile within their type set. It would add spice to the 50 piece competition and encourage going after the rarities more.

I am interested in your thoughts on this and thank you for your consideration of my suggestion, regardless.

The Set Registry follows the way people collect and most collectors of type coins, regular issue or comemoratives, are more concerned with condition than the date of the coin. If we did a type set with "rarity bonuses" it would have to be a seperate Registry.

    Thanks,

    David
