I just bid almost 50% above sheet for this common date Twenty Center. Just about $100 below the MS64 price. No dice. To me it looks better than the MS66 in the next lot.

That is a LOVELY twenty-center. Looks PQ for a 63, that's for sure. I've always wanted to get a twenty-center; I guess I just never found the right piece at a time when I had the money for it.

Well, that 20 center is definitely not a 66, but maybe a 64. There are plenty of scuffs in both lower obv fields that can account for the 63 grade. I wouldn't get your hopes up on this being a 64 candidate. Looks a bit washed out too, as 63's tend to be. At $100 under 64 money, I think you were wise to bow out. Why not pay $200 over 64 for an old holdered 64 PQ coin?
