It's not easy. Not only has little of this material been saved but it is mostly illegal
to import to the US. What little does find its way here is probably easiest to find
in south Florida where the demand is greatest. Otherwise you might want to check
out Canadian dealers. It may or may not be legal to bring it in this way but there is
little demand so little interest if it were illegal.

My understanding is that the regular coinage is tough everywhere and virtually impos-
sible in Cuba. A few heavily circulated pieces will occasionally be found in poundage but
this is probably a result of the easing of travel restrictions over the last fifteen years.

But I must warn you I think the website is not active, as some pages are missing and the cubacoins.com section of the webpage is no longer linked to the accurate site

  • Hello Derlehtea!

Maybe you can try Ebay to find some coins from Cuba?
Also other Ebay, like in Canada, England, Australia or if you can read / understand also France, Germany, Italy, Spain.....
I´m sure you will find many coins. I know, there are some problems with coins from Cuba in the US and I dont know
if all incoming mail is checked?
I have sold some Cuban silver coins at Ebay to a guy on a US Air Base in Puerto Rico.
The coins arrived savely without any problems.

I still have some clad coins from Cuba, if you are interested send me your email and I can send you some pictures of the coins.

Scandinavian and US coins are my pleasure!
  • Ebay has some
    For example

Presently such things are illegal in the USA, due to the trade embargos against Cuba.
Coins before Castro came into power are Ok, but afterwards are not.
Although such things are typically below the FED's interest level, if you ever do something to get them interested in you
they would hold it against you then.
