Three weeks from tonight I have to get back in the classroom and begin teaching my graduate financial markets course. The summer is too short! Time for a giveaway - same concept as the one I did for my 1,000th post: Guess the price I paid for my PCGS 1933-D MS66RD Lincoln cent on ebay. Do not include shipping/insurance in your guess. I bought it about 1 1/2 years ago.
Deadline for guesses is Thursday at midnight (CDT) - closest, earliest bid wins the prize. This is not the "Price is Right" so the winner can be "over!"
As in my last giveaway, I won't reveal the prize until after the end of the contest. Last time, I just said the prize "contained silver" and it was a nice '64 proof set - no AH, however!! Same this time: the prize will contain silver and will be of interest to all numismatics.
Good Luck!!
Mike
There were 78 guesses. The average guess was $199.94, with a low of $5 (I WISH!!!) and a high of $480. My cost was $238.25 and the winner with a guess of $237.25 is DesertRat. The prize is a very nice 1963 US Proof set. Congratulations to Desert Rat and thanks to all of you who participated.

It's truly funny, no make that truly sad, that people in this day and age are so wrapped up in their own little world that they refuse to try and teach someone else the correct or accepted way of doing things.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
