  • Martin ,
you know thats a 67 CAM all day long.
the 57 is notorious for weak reverse CAM devices !

  • Not bad! I've yet to find a 57 set with anything cameo!

Marty, nice score. A bath is definitely in order to remove the haze and let the mirrored fields reflect like the mirrors of the telescope sitting atop Haleakala in Maui.

If the picture is accurate, I suspect that the reverse will show moderate to moderate+ frost. Heavy frost would be great. The obverse is a knockout. While searching proof sets, I have seen a couple of 1957 halves that look like yours. I am still waiting to stumble across a raw 57 (and for that matter a raw 61, 59, 58, 55, 52, 51 and 50) that looks, on both sides, like the obverse of your 57. Again congrats on a nice acquistion.

We have no one to blame but ourselves; it was on ebay a whole week and we missed the Frankie; if you're into bald guys.image

Good shot. image I'd say you'll have a nice coin when you're done, and WAY under market. image

You've sucked quite a bit lately. image

    HEY! I resemble that...
  • Good thing he mislisted it under the 65 to 98 sets or you would never have gotten it for that, even with a snipe. And oh yes BTW, thank you for closing that little loophole that I overlooked for me! image

No it's not Marty......plenty of ebay sellers seem to be able to get pics of coins that they don't have image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
