The Henrich is MP & P, either '43 or '46.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

  • Pandrews,

The Henrich card is from MP & Co. and was among the few cards issued during World War 2. There were two sets...one in '43 and another in '49. Henrich was in both sets, yours looks like the 1943 set (since the fact that he was in the armed forces gives that away).

The Mp & Co sets are among the sets I've reviewed on my website...take a look for more in-depth info:

    1943 and 1949 MP & Co. sets

Chris, after I read Griffins resonse (Thanks, Griffins!) i did a search on the internet, and YOUR page came up! Great read! A wealth of information! I wasnt really able to determine which cards i have, because some of them say "Made in USA", but some of them don't.. and none of them have "Mp & Co., N.Y.C." printed on the back.. ? besides the Henrich, i also have Jimmy Foxx, Joe Cronin, Ernie Bonham, Bill Dickey, and Hank Danning..

    thanks for the help!

and i just looked at a checklist for the set, and all the other cards i have appear in the 1943 set also.. a couple of the cards look like cookie monster took a bite out of them..

I have a Joe Medwick from the '43 set. I'd rate it a PSA 5/6.

Wow ! What an uncanny resemblance to Henrich !
That artist was a true master.

I wonder if his skill continued to increase as his his sixth birthday approached ?
