Help on coin set

Can anyone here help me out as to the value of this set.I don't know anything about these.The info I have is. 1991 uncirculated sealed Leningrad mint token. USSR 1 ruble 50 kopeks 20 15 10 5 3 2 1 all kopeks.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Larry

  • Thanks Im guessing that is the 2003 price guide. I don't know anything about foriegn coins.

    This set is exceedingly common. It is the last of the old Soviet style mint sets and
    was made in huge quantity for sale all over the world. They were on sale here until
    around 1994. These were well made and often have attractive coins but mintages
    probably were in excess of half a million.

    It was a very tough time for the Russian/Soviet economy and this was one of the means
    used to raise hard cash.

  • Thanks I am checking on these for a friend .I told him I thought they would be worth between $10 and $20 dollars does that sound like im in the ball park?

    They really are very common. The Russians flooded the market with them. A reasonable price would be $7-10. I think they originally were advertised here in the mass circulation publications at about $20; they seem to have immediately settled in the secondary market for half that and haven't moved at all since. First and last year of issue sets tend to be overcollected as people believe they're be rare in the future ... so they hardly ever do so with modern coins.
