Anyone know of any coin shops in Heidelberg Germany? Going there in a few weeks.

When I lived in West Germany, I could not find a coin shop anywhere. I asked one of my German friends who laughed and took me to the bank. Within the bank, I was able to purchase several proof sets, sets from some other countries, a piece that's been identifed as being from 282-283 a.d. and some other odds and ends. They did not have anything from the U.S. available except for a Confederate note from Columbia, SC. Unfortunately, it was a repro (picked it up anyway since it was cheap). The only other place that I found coins or currency for sale was at flea market type venues. This is where I found some really interesting pieces.

I don't know anything about the current market, but I hope the above may help. I loved the Heidelberg area; used to visit it quite often. If you take any pics of the area, I'd love to see them. I keep hoping to go back there eventually. . . Good luck in your travels.
