Very cool. In this era, small gold coins were quite frequently used as gifts on holidays. But I have never seen something like this - you really should consider donating to the ANA/ANS - for a generous tax writeoff of course

Ooooooohhhhhh! I like that! What a great piece of Americana. It was common practice at that time to give gold coins as gifts. Absolutely fantastic! I am jealous!
