Die clashed coins. Lets see em.

I came across this one while goin thru my pocket change one day several ,months ago.......photo'd that day and I just happened across the pic. I forget what year this was, but I think it's silver. Too lazy to look for it in the box of extras.

You might also want to check out Three cent nickels. They are very prone to die clashes as well as die breaks and cuds. Nickel in general is a very hard metal and couple that with poor minting quality and you have alot to choose from. Have fun!, nice coin!

I like the Trime clash MGood, that camera is great for fine detail like that.

Last year IrishMike let me photo his 1865 with a full Indian profile on the reverse. You can even see the feather detail of the headress under CENT.

here's an Overton 107 from 1814, the photos were not specifically taken to highlight the die clash lines,
but I think you can make them out?



edit: I see you cannot see, but some letters of the motto are readable (upside down and mirror image) between the bust and date. I need to take some better pics of this coin. Like yours Rotated Rainbows!

Years ago I bought 4 sealed 1965 SMS sets. Opened them up and found all four dimes were die clashed, like the Roosie pictured. Very interesting to see the same coin four times. Can only assume that the coins were struck consecutively off of the same dies that had struck each other earlier when a planchet did not feed through. Sold one set and contributed another set for a coin club raffle. Still have two of them. Does anyone have any idea what mint state die clashed clad dimes are worth?
