question on PCGS submissions

Will they accept coins in a 2x2 or do they want them raw in their little mylar sleeves?

They must be in flips, not cardboard 2x2's.

Morning proof! I have some flips, was just curious if they accepted in the cb 2x2. Right now it is 86 degrees in Rosamond cooling down a bit lately, last week we were at 111. How did you fair in the thunderstorms yesterday?

Never submitted myself. But arn't the coins supposed to be in the larger size sleeve, like about 2.5x2.5. That I haven't been able to find anywhere.

Yup - I have been instructed by PCGS to submit in the 2.5 x 2.5 flips. Naturally, they will sell you some for a reasonable fee. They are Saflips from E&T Kointainer, so they should be more readily available.

I used to submit proofs in poly bags inside of 2 x 2 flips, but PCGS sent out a letter to switch to the 2.5 x 2.5 with no poly bags.

The poly bags can cause haze on proof coins.

It's much easier to take a coin out of a 2.5x2.5 flip--I recommend them over 2x2s.
