shipping overseas

have any of you ever shipped overseas? i have had a request to send a card to germany and i was curious if there are any "gotchas" to be concerned with?

    i've sold cards to germany, japan, australia, and other places with no problems.. (knock on wood)

  • I see a lot of eBay bidders who will not sell to Germany or Italy except by very expensive tracked shipping methods (e.g DHL) due to sticky fingers in customs. I guess it depends on the value of the item you are dealing with. If it's a $10 card, go for it; if it's a $500 card, caveat vendor.
  • I agree w/ the above.... but if it is a decent $ item... as usual have the buyer pay for shipping -whether it be USPostal to Maine or DHL/UPS/FedEx overseas...just cover your butt doing it.

    thanks. it was the 84 BGS 7 elway. guy did a BIN and i increased the shipping. will see how it goes.
