Topps/O-Pee-Chee help needed..

whats the difference in a 1965 topps and a 1965 OPC baseball card? any help is appreciated.. i know the later years used a different, whiter card stock etc.. but what about 1965?

    nevermind.. i just noticed it says "printed in canada"..

  • And I would guess the OPC printing numbers are miniscule compared to what would have been issued in the USA under the Topps brand.

  • O-Pee-Chee cards are a lot tougher to find than their Topps counterparts, but the scarcity isn't always reflected in market value.

    Since the 1960s OPC cards aren't printed with French/English comments, they will sometimes get mixed in with regular Topps sets. The only way to tell is the "Printed in Canada" notice at the bottom.

    I think 1970 was the first year of French?English comments, and the 1971 OPCs have a different back design altogether from the Topps set.

    i have a beat-up 1965 OPC Roger Maris that i think is awesome, simply because i've never had/seen one before (that i know of.. as Chris said, they would be easily overlooked as topps cards)
